NLA Committees

The National Limousine Association has several active committees that play a role in the success of the NLA. Each committee’s co-chairs and missions are listed below.

Ensure NLA rules are followed; recommend changes as needed; oversee bylaw amendment process.

Raise funds for NLA philanthropic arm: the Harold Berkman Memorial Fund.

Provide support to local groups to strengthen their own memberships; serve as conduit between associations.

Support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the chauffeured ground transportation through resources and education.

Organizes educational opportunities and resources to support the professional growth and industry knowledge for members throughout the year.

Ensure sound financial standing and long-term stability of the NLA.

To reduce emissions, enhance energy efficiency and foster a culture of sustainability among NLA members and the industry at large.

Identify and address issues and concerns of non-U.S. members.

Foster proactive government relations program; protect members from harmful regulation and legislation; guide lobbyist(s) engaged to represent NLA interests.

Increase NLA membership overall; maximize value of NLA membership.

Recruit qualified candidates to serve on NLA Board of Directors; oversee NLA annual election of board members.

Raise funds from membership to support NLA legislative and regulatory goals in the U.S.

To promote chauffeured transportation as a whole in consumer and trade media and maintain a strong, positive “brand” for the industry.

Implement program for new operators to attend NLA events.

Guarantee NLA/CD shows, and other NLA-sponsored programs are highly valuable for attendees.

Monitor performance of NLA’s management company; negotiate new agreements with management company and other service providers; monitor planning of NLA/CD Shows.

Stimulate full use of available technology and social media to recruit, retain and inform NLA members.

To support the empowerment and growth of women in the chauffeured ground transportation industry through education, leadership development, and mentoring.
